Adora Magic City: First Chinese-made luxury Cruise ship completes test voyage

China's first domestically-built luxury cruise ship, the "Adora Magic City," has successfully completed a six-day test voyage on Tuesday of 1,600 nautical miles in the East China Sea.
It was carrying about 1,300 engineers, ship designers and other relevant workers from 30 countries. They witnessed the ship passing almost 90 test projects on maneuverability, automation, navigation safety and comfort, and emission standards. Built by the state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the ship has a length of over 300 meters and a capacity of over 5,000 passengers.
The successful construction of the ship will help China to become a leading manufacturer of cruise liners, providing a significant boost to the country's ship-building industry and cruise tourism.
